Mark and Karla Rickert have a passion for helping people. This shows when they are raising money for disadvantaged children with their 5K fun run called, The Pajama People Pizza Run, or helping the homeless with hot meals, or paying for pet adoption fees with their program called, “Buy a home from me, and adopt a pet for free.” They love their community and this is a vital component to their real estate business.
It is when they list a home for a seller, or help a buyer find just the right home, that that they realize the responsibility they have on their shoulders. The responsibility to help their clients achieve their goals and solve problems. They love the challenges that come along with these responsibilities. When buyers come through a referrals Mark and Karla go the extra mile to find that special home.

Mark has been an entrepreneur from a very young age. At 9 years old he worked in the produce section and swept floors at Cala grocery store in exchange for food. After that he had a paper route in San Francisco where he would challenge the hills with a full load of papers in his cart. In 2001 Mark founded a multi-million dollar Silicon Valley based technology company which was acquired by a larger firm in 2011. Mr. Rickert also worked for his Father’s real estate development company, Rickert Properties, Inc., handling marketing and home sales for one of the company’s upcoming communities. This gave him massive experience in marketing, home sales, customer service, vendor relations, and negotiating. Mr. Rickert has a degree in digital circuit design.
Karla began working at a very young age on her parents family farm and learned how hard work builds character and work ethic, skills necessary for success. As a single Mother she raised 2 children while working a full-time job while obtaining her Bachelors degree in exercise science from Ft. Lewis College. Karla has held high-level positions in the healthcare arena working for such hospital systems as Daughter’s of Charity, and Stanford Hospital. Karla brings with her decades of experience in dealing with multi-million dollar transactions and analysis. Her operational, sales, negotiation skills are second to none!
We specialize in residential and Costa Rica beachside properties. We work with our clients to buy or sell luxury homes, land/lots, condos, town-homes, single family homes as well as select mobile home parks. For each transaction, our team coordinates stagers, inspectors, lenders, remodeling & repair contractors, and associates help to make it smooth and effortless for our clients.

Mark and Karla have been awarded the Children’s Champion Award by the Children’s Hunger Fund and are honored to have been chosen for this award.
Personal
Karla is an avid sports enthusiast and lover of dogs. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her children and young grandchildren as well. On many days you will find her tending to her garden and beautiful plants.
Mark is passionate about running, mountain climbing, and even mixed-martial arts. He has had a number of injuries that has prevented him from participating as much as he would like but he is always hopeful he will return to these hobbies. Mark is also a dog lover and he has three dogs that he shares with his wife Karla.
