Mark has been an entrepreneur from a very young age. At 9 years old he worked in the produce section and swept floors at Cala grocery store in exchange for food. After that he had a paper route in San Francisco where he would challenge the hills with a full load of papers in his cart. In 2001 Mark founded a multi-million dollar Silicon Valley based technology company which was acquired by a larger firm in 2011. Mr. Rickert also worked for his Father’s real estate development company, Rickert Properties, Inc., handling marketing and home sales for one of the company’s upcoming communities. Mila Lucero was born in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan (sister city of Albuquerque) but her Russian heritage doesn’t keep her from loving Duke City and helping Albuquerqueans find a home.

Michael’s background and experience provides a unique and valuable perspective in representing his clients, whether buyers or sellers, in achieving the best possible result in each situation.  He focuses his real estate practice on the areas from Santa Fe to Las Vegas, New Mexico. Since 2004, he has been an associate broker and also a member of the Santa Fe MLS and the Las Vegas Board of Realtors serving as Vice-President of the Las Vegas Board of Realtors since 2010.

Since 2000 Michael has lived on a small farm on the Pecos River near Ribera, New Mexico, which gives him an intimate knowledge of this part of Northern New Mexico and it's culture.  He is passionate about preserving and enhancing the area, particularly in respect to small scale organic farming, ranching and preservation of water rights.  He has represented clients in the purchase and sale of small irrigated farms, larger ranch tracts, residences, and income property. 

Michael also has experience as an owner/builder of new and remodeled residential structures which can be of great benefit to his clients when looking at the type and quality of construction. He has worked with building materials as varied as adobe, frame, rastra, and strawbale. His training as a mediator gives him invaluable mediation and negotiating skills that assist both buyers and sellers in closing their real estate transactions.
